## What's Induction Hardened Chrome Rod
Induction hardening is a surface heat treatment process that uses induction heating equipment to quickly heat the workpiece surface to a high temperature and then quickly cool it (usually using water quenching or oil quenching) to improve the hardness and wear resistance of the material surface.
The process includes three steps: heating, quenching, and tempering. Its advantages: high surface hardness, high processing accuracy, and good internal toughness
## What's Quenched & Tempered Chrome Rod?
Quenching and tempering is a classic heat treatment process. First, the steel is quickly cooled to a high hardness state through quenching, and then heated at a lower temperature through tempering to eliminate internal stress and increase the toughness and ductility of the material.
